About Circle Up

Circle Up is a directory of men's groups. A man looking for a circle is rarely browsing casually — something has usually happened, or is about to. He does not need four hundred results. He needs a handful he can trust.

Every listing is read by a person

Nothing appears here because someone filled in a form. Every submission goes into a queue and a steward reads it before it goes live. That is slower than an open board, and it is the point. Curation is the product.

Nothing can pay to be listed, featured, or ranked. There is no premium tier, no sponsored placement, and no advertising. If that ever changes, it will say so on this page before it changes anywhere else.

The standard a listing has to meet

This is the actual checklist a steward applies. There is no second, private version:

• Is this a real, currently active group, organization, event, or resource?
• Is the description clear and specific — not spam, and not self-promotion dressed up as a listing?
• Is there a working way to make contact or register?
• For groups: are the location and meeting schedule concrete enough to actually be useful to someone deciding whether to show up?
• Does it fit the mission — men's growth, brotherhood, inner work — rather than being an unrelated advertisement?

A submission that misses on one point usually comes back with notes rather than a rejection. Send-backs are normal.

What we deliberately don't do

• No accounts. Not for seekers, not for leaders. Nothing to sign up for, no profile to maintain, no password to lose.
• No messaging in the middle. You contact a leader directly, through the route they chose. We never see the conversation.
• No payments. Leaders are not charged to list. Seekers are not charged to look. Whatever a group itself costs is between you and them.
• No tracking beyond the basics. See the privacy page, which is short because there is little to describe.

What we collect

Almost nothing. When someone submits a listing we keep their email so a steward can follow up — that address is never published and never shown on a public page. Whatever contact route a leader chooses to publish on their own listing is published, because publishing it is the whole point of submitting it. That is the entire set.

If a listing is wrong

Groups end, schedules change, and people move. If something here is out of date or should not be listed at all, tell us and a steward will fix or remove it. There is no leader dashboard yet — edits go through a person for now.
